TEHRAN – The Nidra Art Group composed of many Iranian artists is displaying a collection of paintings and calligraphic paintings by its members at Idil Gallery in Istanbul.

Works by artists from Tehran, Tabriz, Mashhad, Kashan, Isfahan, Yazd and several other Iranian cities have been selected for the exhibit titled “Dreams”, the gallery has announced.

Several works by artists from Dubai and Turkey are also being shown in this exhibit, which opened on February 1.

Iran’s cultural attaché in Istanbul Abdorreza Rashed along with a number of Iranian and Turkish artists and scholars visited the exhibit on Thursday, and proposed the idea of the establishment of an artist forum for the Iranian artists residing in Istanbul.

The idea was warmly welcomed by the artists.

The exhibit will be running until February 8.
