TEHRAN – Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Movahedi Kermani, Tehran’s interim Friday Prayer preacher, has warned U.S. President Donald Trump against anti-Iran measures, saying imposing sanctions on Iran will only harm Trump himself.

“Mr. Trump, impose as many sanctions as you can, but beware that the result of sanctions is your own disgrace,” Ayatollah Movahedi Kermani said, addressing worshippers in Tehran on Friday.

He also warned Muslims around the world not to be deceived by the enemies, especially the U.S. and the Zionist regime. “The world of Islam is facing a widespread assault by the enemies, America and the Zionist regime of Israel in particular,” he said, Fars reported.
