TEHRAN – A message from President Hassan Rouhani was delivered to his Lebanese counterpart Michel Aoun on Monday.

The message was delivered by Hossein Jaberi Ansari, a senior assistant to Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who met with President Aoun on Monday.

It contained information on the new developments surrounding the Iran nuclear deal following the U.S. exit from the internationally-endorsed agreement, IRNA reported, questing a senior official. 

Lebanon has repeatedly voiced support for Tehran’s peaceful nuclear program and has explicitly opposed U.S. withdrawal from the deal.
