Ardebil travel potentials to be showcased at Van exhibit

TEHRAN – A collection of historical objects, handicrafts as well as tourism potentials related to the northwestern Ardebil province will go on show at the Van Tourism and Travel Fair running in the Turkish city from September 28 to 30, CHTN reported.

 “Residents of Ardebil province frequently travel to Van [so that] it is essential that attractions of the province to be introduced to residents of Van and other Turkish cities,” Ardebil’s tourism chief Nader Fallahi said.

“It also presents a good opportunity for promotion of investment capacities,” he added.

Sprawling on a high, windswept plateau, Ardebil is well-known for having lush natural beauties, hospitable people and its silk and carpet trade tradition, it is also home to the UNESCO-registered Sheikh Safi al-Din Khanegah and Shrine Ensemble.
