TEHRAN – German Foreign Minister Heiko Mass on Friday highlighted the need to maintain trade with Tehran, saying Europe unanimously stands by Iran in the nuclear deal, officially called the JCPOA.

Addressing the UN General Assembly in New York, Mass said the JCPOA may not be impeccable, but it has so far prevented regional tensions, IRNA reported.

Mass added Berlin is taking steps to maintain trade with Tehran, urging Iran to continue to fully implement all its obligations with regard to the nuclear deal.
