‘Critics should propose practical solutions’

TEHRAN – Former presidential candidate Mostafa Hashemi Taba urged the outspoken critics of the Rouhani administration to propose practical solutions to problems instead of repeatedly criticizing the government.

“Those who say the administration or the president should step down must say how the country’s problems can be resolved,” Hashemi Taba said in an interview with the Arman newspaper published on Monday.

On calls for Rouhani’s “heroic resignation”, he said, “Being a hero means standing up and working hard. Also, a hero would not step down even if he/she fails.”
