JCPOA parties after compensating for U.S. pullout: Araqchi

December 3, 2018 - 20:59

TEHRAN – Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said on Monday that the remaining parties to the 2015 nuclear deal are trying to find operational solutions to compensate for U.S. withdrawal from the deal, officially called the JCPOA.

Araqchi said Iran is cooperating with the European Union, Russia, China and other countries regarded as Tehran’s business partners to keep the cooperation path open, Mehr reported.

Back in May, U.S. President Donald Trump withdrew his country from the JCPOA and ordered reimposition of sanctions against Iran. The move has been widely criticized by different countries across the world.
