Major General Qassem Soleimani, chief of the IRGC Quds Force, was assassinated in a US drone attack along with his companions and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy commander of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU). The terrorist attack was launched on January 3 under direct order of US President Donald Trump.
