Migratory birds herald Lake Urmia coming back to life

Flocks of migratory birds are flying over Lake Urmia as a sign that the once-dying lake in the northwest of the country is being resuscitated.

On February 24, the first phase of a national project to transfer water to the Lake via a tunnel with a length of 36 kilometers came on stream.
