TEHRAN- The closing ceremony of the 24th Iran Media Expo was held on Wednesday night at Tehran's Imam Khomeini Mosalla in the presence of the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mohammad-Mehdi Esmaeili.

Seeking to promote and strengthen the media industry, the four-day exhibition concluded on February 21 and the active participating media were honored in eight groups based on the votes of the visitors, ISNA reported.

The expo, a platform for showcasing the latest developments in media, hosted more than 600 media outlets, creative groups, and knowledge-based companies.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, a total of 80 specialized and public sessions were held, eight of which focused on the future of Iranian media considering the development of technology and artificial intelligence.

This year's exhibition featured the presence of media activists and digital influencers, alongside a dedicated booth for international media representatives from Russia, Qatar, China, Lebanon, Turkey, and other countries.

Moreover, a dozen resistance media outlets from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tunisia, Iraq, Yemen, Palestine, and Lebanon attended the expo.

The foreign media outlets affiliated to the Resistance Front participated in the event as part of efforts to disseminate news related to the war in Gaza. During the more than four months of war, Israeli airstrikes in Gaza have killed about 30,000 people.
