SYDNEY Harry Prieste, a 103-year-old American, has been stricken with remorse 80 years after stealing an Olympic flag during the Antwerp Games.
Prieste, who finished third in the platform diving, has told the International Olympic Committee (IOC) he wants to return the stolen property.
IOC spokesman Franklin Servan-Schreiber told a news conference on Saturday the IOC would accept the flag during a brief ceremony in Sydney on Monday.
