Castro Exposes Opposition Plot to Assassinate Him in Panama

PANAMA CITY -- Cuban President Fidel Castro said at a press conference here Friday that an opposition group planned to assassinate him during the Ibero-American Summit in Panama.
"We have learned that terrorists plan to use firearms or explosives," AFP quoted Castro as saying, naming Cuban exile Luis Posadas Carriles as the presumed mastermind of the alleged assassination plot.
