TEHRAN The Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) in Maragheh Colonel Ali Mohammadi said an intelligence network has been set up in Maragheh to maintain security and national unity.
Making the statement on the occasion of the Week of Basij (volunteer paramilitary force) Mohammadi said the network is ready to receive reports by telephone number 114.
He alluded to the performance of Basij in Maragheh and said as regards recruitment of forces, most of the resistance bases are active in this field and "we have recruited forces in accordance with the ceiling specified for us." The commander said the recruited forces have been organized in the different battalions of Ashura, Al-Zahra, Kowsar and Sarallah.
On training, he said one hundred percent of the forces have undergone the necessary training and added that commanders of resistance bases have also undergone expert training.
Regarding the services rendered by Basij in Maragheh, Mohammadi said the Basij Interest-Free Loan Institute and Ansar al-Mojahedin Interest-Free Loan Fund are active in Maragheh, adding that a scientific institute of young students also began its scientific activities during the Week of Basij.
