TEHRAN The sixth chess competitions of blind women across the country finished yesterday with the championship of Fatemeh Barqoul.

Some 36 competitors from provinces of Tehran, Fars, Khuzestan, Isfahan, Khorasan, Kerman, Hamedan, East Azarbaijan, Ilam, Kermanshah, Zanjan and Semnan participated in the competitions in the Azadi Sports Complex.

Fatemeh Barqoul from Khuzestan Province bagged 6.5 points and ranked first while Zahra Mirshekaran of Fars Province collecting 6 points stood second and Leila Zare'zadeh of East Azarbaijan finished third, having 5.5 points.
