TEHRAN Former minister of information Ali Fallahian said on Monday that he will run for president in June presidential election.

Fallahian, 51, born in Najafabad, Isfahan, is currently serving as member of the 86-member Assembly of Experts.

He finished his studies at the Shahid Haqqani Theological School and has served in different posts since the victory of the Islamic Revolution including commander of the Islamic Committees, deputy prosecutor general of the Islamic Revolution Court, chairman of the Inspection Organization of the Armed Forces and prosecutor of the Special Court for Clergy upon decrees issued by the late Imam Khomeini.
