TAIPEI A hapless Taiwan husband survived six attempts by his wife to kill him, before he was finally burned alive by a hired killer, a report said Wednesday. The wife, Liao Je-Hung, and killer Liao Shih-Chung were both sentenced to life imprisonment by the Hsinchu district court Tuesday for murdering Lin Jung-Lo in November 1999, AFP quoted the ***China Times*** as saying. The hired killer, who was paid one million Taiwan dollars, forced Lin to drink until he was inebriated and then took him to a river bed, and set him alight.
