Bundesbank Chief Welteke Is Confident That Euro Will Rise in Value

FRANKFURT European Central Bank Council Member and Bundesbank President Ernst Welteke said on Wednesday that he was confident the euro would rise in value, AFP reported.

"I'm confident that the euro can move upwards a bit," Welteke told journalists at a euro-2002 conference here.
