Iranian Children's Paintings to Be Displayed at River of Words Painting Exhibition

TEHRAN - The paintings of nine Iranian children and young adults have been selected to be displayed at the international painting exhibition of the River of Words Artistic Center, which is affiliated to the U.S. Library of Congress.

According to the public relations office of the Center for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (CIDCYA), the paintings will soon be displayed on the center's internet site as well as at exhibitions throughout the world.

A painting by Fatemeh Dastour (5 years old) from Tehran entitled "Friends" and a painting by Saeid Sharifian (7 years old) from Isfahan entitled "Kites" are among the selected works.

Moreover, the paintings of 11-year olds Hakimeh Aboutalebi from West Azarbaijan, Mojgan Gholam-Rezaei from Kerman, and Pardis Sahouli from Kermanshah have also been selected.

Soha Azargan, A'zam Sarani, Bahareh Talakoub and Parham Sahouli are on the list of selected children.

Last year CIDCYA submitted paintings by 107 of its members to the River of Words Painting Exhibition and 9 children were selected.
