CAIRO -- Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal arrived here Tuesday to brief Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on his talks with U.S. leaders on the Middle East crisis, Mubarak's office said.

Faisal had meetings with President George W. Bush and Secretary of State Colin Powell in Washington on Thursday and Friday, AFP reported.

Bush, who also saw Mubarak earlier this month, was expected to announce new plans for reviving the Middle East peace process later Tuesday.

Saudi Arabia launched in February its own peace plans, later adopted by Arab leaders, promising Israel normal relations in return for its withdrawal from all occupied Arab land.
