Five Iranian Horse Riders to Compete in Pusan

TEHRAN -- Head of Iran's Equestrian Federation (IEF) announced that five horse riders will represent the country in the 2002 Asian Games in Pusan, South Korea.

In his talks with IRNA Tuesday, Mohammadreza Davarzani added three members of the Iranian team are living in Europe and two in Iran.

According to the IEF president, one horse rider will accompany the team as substitute.

Davarzani added Iran will also dispatch a female horse rider to the Asian Games.

The three foreign-based members of Iran are Seyed Ali Nilforoushan, Arshia Ardalan, and Sarar Ardalan, said the official, adding that Ramin Shaki-Khan, Kazem Vejdani, and Amir Kalantari (substitute) are other riders.
