TEHRAN -- Head of Iran's Iranology Center Hassan Habibi addressing a meeting of governor-generals here on Saturday pointed to a project on the establishment of an Iranology Data Center.

Habibi called on the governor-general offices and universities across the country to focus closer attention on the project to contribute to its enrichment.

He said that one of the drawbacks of the nation's data processing system is the absence of a centralized data processing center, IRNA reported.

"Our homeland is efficient in providing information, yet it needs a proper data processing center to become more efficient," he underlined.

Pointing to the nation's gifted potentials, he stressed the need to promote them and said that every country possessing gifted manpower should provide for making the best use of them.

According to him, once the project on the Iranology Data Processing Center becomes operational, 28 provinces across the country will be introduced to the public through articles, illustrations, books and films.

He referred to the forthcoming six seminars titled `history of provinces', `Persian language and literature', `handicrafts', `economic background of provinces', `archaeological achievements' and `local stories on Iran', which are to be held next spring to contribute to the enrichment of the Iranology Data Processing Center.
