Chinese Muslims complete stone engravings of entire Holy Quran

TEHRAN -- A set of stone engravings of the entire Holy Quran recently completed by Chinese Muslim artisans has been unveiled at the Dongsi Mosque in Beijing, the Dubai newspaper Al Bayan reported.

The Quran has been engraved on 528 stone tablets and weighs 26 tons.

Sheikh Hilaluddin Guang Yuan, the director of the Muslim Council of China, supervised the project, which began in 2002.
