TEHRAN (IRNA) -- Iran's Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottaki on Friday called for speedy reforms in the United Nations.
"Current structure of the UN, in which certain states have the veto power, is unfair and it should soon be reformed," said Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottaki here on Friday.
Addressing a large groups of worshipers as a pre-sermon lecturer in this week's Friday prayers congregation, Mottaki also called for designation of a seat at the UN Security Council for Muslim states.
He also called the U.S. and other occupiers in Iraq as main bodies responsible for insecurity there.
"Security in Iraq is not so much important for any country in and even out of the region as it is for Iran," said Mottaki.
