TEHRAN -- Iran should be given a fair hearing to address all remaining questions about its nuclear program, Supreme National Security Council Undersecretary for International Affairs Javad Vaeedi said here on Sunday.
In an interview with the Mehr News Agency, Vaeedi described previous negotiations between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency as constructive and expressed hope that the talks to resolve the remaining questions over the country’s nuclear program would continue.Iranian and IAEA negotiation teams have held four rounds of talks so far.
IAEA Director General Mohamed ElBaradei is expected to submit a report on the outcome of the negotiations to the IAEA Board of Governors in mid-November.
The board is scheduled to meet on November 22 and 23.
However, if ElBaradei’s report does not reflect the “realities of the Iranian nuclear dossier”, it will jeopardize the close cooperation between the Islamic Republic and the UN nuclear watchdog, Vaeedi said
