TEHRAN -- A collection of artworks selected from previous editions of Iran’s Image of the Year festival went on show at Tehran’s recently opened gallery of the ECO Cultural Institute (ECI).

The displayed artworks are also arranged to go on show in the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member states in the future, the Persian service of MNA reported on Sunday.
There were plans to display the collection in Tehran from the very beginning of the festival, organizer of the exhibit Seifollah Samadian said.
He added that the ECI has long acted act as a bridge and means to connect Iranian artists with artists of ECO member countries.
The ECI gallery was opened Saturday in the Aqdasieh neighborhood where a selection of 60 cartoons, photos and graphic designs are on display.
Based on the agreements between organizers of the festival and ECI officials, the exhibition will travel to other member states accompanied by a group of Iranian artists in the coming months.
