Dialogue Among Civilizations Painting Exhibition to Be Held at UN

TEHRAN On the occasion of the Year of Dialogue Among Civilizations and also the 10th year of independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, a painting exhibition of well-known Tajik artists will be held at the UN.

The exhibition will be held June 4-8 in the UN headquarter in New York. The paintings are by Fereidoun Neqmatzoda and Sohrab Qorbanov.

Qorbanov is head of the Association of Tajik artists and a winner of several international prizes. He was named a "People's Artist" by the former Soviet Union. He made many efforts to establish peace and stability in Tajikistan, especially during the Tajik civil war. Neqmatzoda is well-known internationally and has displayed his works in many countries.
