FM Spokesman Calls Latest Zionist Allegations Ridiculous
Assefi said that public resistance in Palestinian occupied lands is deep-rooted and historical, stemming from strong political rational of a nation and problems of Israel cannot be solved through blame game or recrimination.
He said the allegations and claims, raised by Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon on his US visit to exert further pressure on the Palestinians, thus gain more support and seek excuses, are not something new.
He ruled out Israel's claim that Iran has offered financial pledges to families of Palestinian martyrs, saying that Israel through such ploys tries to portray Palestinian resistance as a materialistic trend, with external roots, in order to suppress it.
He said calling Palestinian nation's resistance as terrorist would not extinguish the flame of resistance.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman said the key to Palestinian problem is full restoration of Palestinians' rights. He said Israel has no alternative but bowing to natural and legitimate rights of Palestinian people and it cannot get rid of its problems through such conspiracies.
