TEHRAN (Mehr News Agency) -– “Deep Breath,” the Iranian film recently nominated for an Academy Award, was released on Saturday in Tehran.

Directed by Parviz Shahbazi, the film tells the story of two aimless friends, Mansour and Kamran, who meet Aida, a cheerful and lively student. It seems that Aida might be able to change Mansour's morals but the dream never comes true.

The Farabi Cinematic Foundation submitted the film to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on September 30.

Shahbazi previously directed the films "Passenger of the South" (1996) and "Murmur" (1999).
