* First International Oil Film Festival is to be held in Abadan and Ahwaz on December 15, 2003.

Oil industry is the subject of the festival which aims at introducing relevant visual works and raising oil production.

According to the executive staff of the festival, in order to participate in the festival, filmmakers have to send application forms to the festival’s office at the Cultural Center of the Oil Ministry by the end of Aban month (November 21).

* A ceremony paying tribute to the former French Communist leader, philosopher and recent convert to Revisionism and Islam Roger Garaudy is to be held in December in Tehran. The ceremony is cosponsored by the Islamic Thought and Culture Research Center and IRIB.
