TEHRAN (Mehr News Agency) -- Ten experts from Iran Touring and Tourism Organization were sent to Japan in early November to find out about the latest knowledge in the field of tourism.
Japanese officials granted scholarships to the experts as well as a few managers of institutes and organizations in private sections.
The 40-day course comprises subjects like development and management of human resources, marketing, and tourist planning.
Iran Touring and Tourism Organization has also signed agreements with countries like Cyprus and Macao to train experts and students in tourism.
Iran tries to boost its tourist industry after the shock created in this field by the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq. Tourism officials are trying to normalize conditions for Iranian tourist high season which begins in March.
