TEHRAN (IRNA) -- President Mahmud Ahmadinejad here on Saturday cabled a message to the new Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah to congratulate him on assuming power.

According to the Press Bureau and Public Relations Department of Presidential Office, the message has called for continued developing cooperation between the two neighboring and Muslim countries established during the tenure of the late Emir.

"I hope mutual cooperation between the two countries would be further developed and fostered in a bid to have positive impacts on mutual, regional and international relations of all countries particularly those in the Islamic world," he said.
