TEHRAN – Oil and energy projects may assume speedier pace by attracting both domestic investment and the capital owned by the Iranians residing abroad, member of Energy Commission of Majlis Hassan Moradi told the Persian service of ISNA on Saturday.

“We have no reservation about the capabilities of our domestic experts, but it would be ‘proper’ to have the supervision of reputable international firms in our key and mega projects,” he said, adding that the investment attraction could be achieved in the form of the joint ventures comprised of domestic and foreign finance companies.

The PM also indicated that the main obstacle to get the nation’s key energy projects off the ground is not the technical aspect of the issue, “rather, it is the development of domestic financing by utilizing resources in a creative way.”
