TEHRAN – A pyrolized gasoline production plant will soon come on stream at the Bandar Imam Petrochemical Complex (BIPC), the Persian service of ISNA reported on Monday.

The pyrolized gasoline production plant will supply the feedstock for the aromatic unit of BIPC, explained the managing director of Iran’s major petrochemical plant, which is located in Bandar Imam, a port city on the northern shore of the Persian Gulf, formerly known as Mahshahr.

An ethane processing plant, which is to supply the main feedstock for the olefin units, is also scheduled to become operational soon, Adelnejad added.

The official went on to say that $6 million has been allocated for the pyrolized gasoline plant and $10 million for the ethane processing plant.

The feedstock required for the aromatic unit of the BIPC was originally going to be supplied by another company. However, with the changes and improvements made on the pyrolized gasoline produced at the olefin unit, it was decided that it could be used as the feedstock for the unit.
