South African FM stresses Iran’s nuclear rights
“All signatories to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), including Iran have the right to use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes,” Dlamini-Zuma told a press conference after a meeting with her Iranian counterpart Manuchehr Mottaki.
The 5+1 group should find a negotiated solution to Iran’s nuclear case, she added.
Five permanent Security Council members, the United States, France, Britain, Russia, China, plus Germany have backed a nuclear package, aiming at ending Iran’s nuclear standoff.

Mottaki also called on the major powers to keep calm on Iran’s nuclear case.
“Any harsh decision will be detrimental to all,” he said.
If the problem is wholly settled, all will benefit and if not, all will suffer, Mottaki added.
The Islamic Republic intends to resolve the case in a calm atmosphere and recommends them to do so, he noted.
“We should move forward based on the law,” the minister said.
President Mahmud Ahmadinejad reiterated on Thursday that Iran would give its final response to the 5+1 group’s nuclear package by Aug. 22.
