TEHRAN – The required 100 megawatt electricity for launching refinery units at South Pars phases 6, 7 and 8 was successfully supplied in Assaluyeh, said a fax release by the Public Relations Department of the South Pars Oil and Gas Company. This is the first stage of the power supply project to the oil- and gas-rich zone.

The aforesaid project was carried out after yearlong continuous endeavors by the refinery of the Mobin Petrochemical Company and through a 132 kilovolt electricity transmission line with a 100 megawatt capacity.

This electricity transmission line is comprised of six 132 kilovolt cables, two 100 megawatt transformers and voltage adaptors all of which are made by the Iranian specialists and installed underground in a mountainous and impassable road as long as six kilometers.

Upon conclusion of the project, the preparatory measures are arranged for testing and launching all different parts of the refinery.

The main aim behind developing the SP phases 6, 7 and 8 is to daily produce some 4,400 tons of LPG, 150,000 barrels of exportable condensates, and 104 million cubic meters of sour gas for transfer to the southern oil field of Iran.
