Iranian inventors win 3 gold medals in Seoul

BEIJING (IRNA) -- Seven Iranian inventors who attended an international contest in Seoul won on Monday three gold, one silver and one bronze medals.

According to Iran's embassy in Seoul, some 400 inventions from 23 countries including the U.S., Japan, China, France, Romania, Russia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Malaysia, Hungary and Iran showcased their inventions at the international contest.

The Iranian team offered ten inventions to grab five medals in different categories.

The Iranian team was also awarded a special medal from Russian Ministry of Science and Research and another from Organization for Registeration of Inventions in South Korea.

The international contest is held every other year. The names of Iranian medalists are as follows: 1. Ali Asghar Berahmand (Gold) 2. Ali Asghar Rastkar and Abbas Alizadeh (Gold) 3. Hamid Resaeian and Shima Rezaeian (Gold) 4. Ali Zarei and Shahin Ghorbani (Silver) 5. Elena Hori (Bronze)

Iran's Ambassador to Seoul Jahanbakhsh Mozaffari lauded the endeavors of the Iranian young investors in a special ceremony at Iran's embassy in Seoul.

The Iranian team will return home on Tuesday.
