SP phases 9&10 platforms to be completed soon

TEHRAN — The last floors of decks for the platforms at South Pars (SP) phases 9 and 10 will be installed in the near future, Nozar Arian, SP phases 9 and 10 project manager said here on Monday.

The installation of the floors requires massive tanks used for separation of water from FWKO gas, he said, adding, the tanks are currently under construction in Ahvaz reactor-building company and will be sent to Khorramshahr site by the weekend.

By putting the tanks on decks, the construction operations of the platforms will close finishing stages, Mehr News Agency reported him as saying.

He further said that four decks have been so far installed at two platforms of SPD 10 and SPD 11 at the phases.

He put the total progress of the project to develop SP phases 9 and 10 at 72 percent so far. Arian noted that subsea and shoreline pipe-laying operations will be started soon. Subsea pipe-laying will be implemented by “c-master” pipe-laying vessel, he added.

Moreover, the coated pipes are already on their way from Khorramshahr site to Assaluyeh, and piping operations on decks are underway.

He also said that the cabling, wiring, and precision tools operations have been launched.

The development project of South Pars phases 9 and 10 is underway to produce 1 billion cu. f. of gas per day by the Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company (IOEC), Oil Industries Engineering and Construction Company (OICE), and Korean LG as contractors. FK/ML END MNA
