Export of plastic, melamine products hits $211m in 10 months
Increased by about 16.6 percent in terms of the weight, in comparison with the same period last year, exports of plastic, melamine and polyethylene products hit around 92,515 tons in the current year, the MNA news agency on Saturday, quoted a statement released by Iran’s Customs Administration.
Plastic, melamine and polyethylene products accounted for around 0.3 percent of the weight and 1.7 percent of the value of the total non-oil exports from the nation, during the 10-month period, the report added.
Also during the same period, the value of the plastic and melamine goods in the export group of commodities amounted to $205,013,000 and the rest belonged to the polyethylene products.
Based on the report, exports of polyethylene products during the period grew by 107 percent in terms of the value, compared with the same period in the preceding year.
