DHAKA (BBC) -- Security forces in Bangladesh arrested a second son of former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, local media sources reported.

Arafat Rahman was taken from Khaleda Zia's home in the capital, Dhaka, by army forces in a pre-dawn raid.

Khaleda Zia's elder son, Tarique Rahman, was arrested last month.

More than 160 suspects have been held from both of the main political parties in a government anti-corruption drive and state of emergency.

Unlike Tarique Rahman, Arafat Rahman was not involved in politics.

Private ATN Bangla television reported that joint military and police forces carried out a massive search inside the house while senior officials talked to Khaleda Zia and her son for a "long time" before taking him into custody.

"He has been taken into custody" after midnight Sunday, news agency Press Trust of India quoted officials as saying.

It said last month, security officials had searched Arafat Rahman's advertising firm, Adsign, and arrested one of his partners from the office on graft charges.

The military-led caretaker government has launched a vigorous drive against corruption after its leader, Fakhruddin Ahmed imposed a state of emergency and cancelled national elections planned for 22 January.

More than 160 politicians, businessmen and former bureaucrats have been detained in the drive under the emergency powers.

The caretaker government has confirmed that general elections will be delayed until the end of 2008.

The administration says that polling will not take place until its anti-corruption drive is concluded.
