TEHRAN (IRNA) --- Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottaki and Swedish foreign minister Carl Bildt in Stockholm on Tuesday held talks on regional and international issues.

Bildt described Iran as an influential country in the region, and said it would do its utmost in a bid to help resolve the regional problems.

Bildt welcomed the continuous exchange of views between the officials of the two countries.

The two sides also talked on the systematic meetings of the officials of the two countries foreign ministries (on the level of deputy directors and director generals), establishment of a contact group on the global disarmament, holding the seventh round of the joint economic commission in Tehran in September, establishment of work group on Afghanistan and Iran's new consulate in the city of Gutenberg.

Mottaki and Bildt attended a press conference at the end of their meeting and responded to the questions of the Swedish press reporters on Iran's nuclear issue, Mottaki visit to Sharm el-Sheikh conference in Egypt and bilateral political and economic relations.
