TEHRAN -- The Australia Post has donated over 400 Australian stamps to the Astan-e Qods Razavi Museum, director of the Stamps and Banknotes Section of the museum Mohammad-Hossein Yazdinejad announced on Tuesday. The museum received the package last week with a letter from the exhibitions manager of the Australia Post Bruce Davidson, reading, ”I hope you find these to be a worthy addition to the collection of the Stamps and Banknotes Museum (sic).”

“The stamps, which were published between 2001 and 2006, highlight celebs, sports events, wildlife, children, plants, scientific experiments, and pictures of the headquarters of various cultural and economic institutes,” Yazdinejad said.

“Some of the stamps are of outstanding print quality and the collection is a very beautiful specimen of its kind,” he added.

With over 130,000 stamps from more than 180 countries, the Stamps and Banknotes Section of the museum is the Middle East’s richest stamp museum.
