Bulgarian 12-month inflation at 5.6%

SOFIA (AFP) -- Bulgarian consumer prices fell by 0.4 percent in June from May but rose by 5.6 percent on a 12-month basis, data from the National Statistical Institute showed.

Food prices fell in June by 1.3 percent with prices down by 39.9 percent on potatoes, 15.9 percent on fresh and frozen vegetables, and 11.3 percent on eggs. Meanwhile, prices went up on vegetable oils by 13.2 percent, fruit by 4.9 percent, and poultry by 3.7 percent
