Iran builds offshore explosion-proof crane

TEHRAN – Iran constructed the first explosion-proof crane for offshore gas platform, said the managing director of Mangan Manufacturing Company here on Monday.

The crane is ready to be installed on the offshore rig of the South Pars (SP) phases 9-10, Mohammad-Ali Abbaspur added.
It took the 53,250 man-hours to build the derrick, he announced, saying 35 percent of accessories was imported
