TEHRAN -- British puppeteer and puppet theater director Conrad Frederick will perform the show “Mr. Punch” at the 10th International Festival of Student Puppet Theater (IFSPT) in Tehran from December 7 to 15.

He will also attend the festival’s educational week which will include workshops on professional puppetry and puppet show directorship.
Fredrick performs traditional British “Punch and Judy” shows using no speech. In this way he has universalized the performance and is able to communicate with audiences worldwide.
“Punch and Judy” shows have been popular in Britain since the 16th century and feature Punch and his wife Judy. They consist of a sequence of short scenes, each depicting interaction between the anarchic Punch and one other character. The show is performed by a single puppeteer, known as a Professor
