TEHRAN -- The recent statements by U.S. President George W. Bush lack new, documented points and indicate “indecision, irrationality, and political frustration,” Iranian Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottaki said on Friday.

The invalidity of such statements is evident to the world, U.S. representatives, and even U.S. citizens, he added.
Bush claimed on Tuesday that Iran supports extremists in Iraq and said he had ordered military commanders in Iraq to confront what he called Iran's ""murderous activities"".
The Republicans’ electoral campaign is based on the promotion of violence and the creation of a global security state, an approach to which the U.S. citizens cast a negative vote last year, Mottaki stated.
The U.S. president’s party is facing serious problems in the upcoming presidential election and Bush is seeking a breakthrough through the use of rhetoric and baseless statements, Mottaki noted.
The allocation of $50 billion from the pockets of U.S. taxpayers to escalate violence in Iraq and to intensify the arms race in the Middle East will not save a region trapped in the grip of instability, violence, and hatred because of Bush's wrong policies and strategies, he observed.
If U.S. officials want to stop repeating their mistakes, they must end their militaristic and security-orientated approaches, pay attention to the root causes of the crises in Iraq and the rest of the Middle East, follow common sense, respect the people's votes, and hand the region over to its true owners
