TEHRAN (PIN) – Bu Ali Sina Petrochemical Complex’s production capacity soared to 1.6 million tons as its feedstock problem was settled, said the complex head Monday.

Mohammadreza Saheb-Nassaq told PIN that 50 percent of the complex’s feedstock was now supplied by Paznan LNG 900 and 1000 units while they were to provide 100 percent of its need.
He added Parsian Refinery could also meet the need of Bu Ali Sina Petrochemical Complex, vowing that the complex would fulfill its commitments in case its feedstock was supplied by domestic plants.
The managing director said Bu Ali Sina Petrochemical Complex earned 10.357 trillion rials (1.1 billion dollars) from domestic and overseas sales in the past Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2006 to March 20, 2007).
Bu Ali Sina Petrochemical Complex, as an affiliate of National Petrochemical Company (NPC), ranked second – standing after Bandar Imam Petrochemical Complex (BIPC) – in terms of sales and profit, boasted the official.
Saheb-Nassaq said Bu Ali Sina was named the “Complex of the Special Economic Zone” for controlling environmental pollutants.
“For this reason, the Department of the Environment (DOE) introduced the complex as “Green Industry” last year
