Kuwait calls for collective efforts to resolve Iran’s nuclear issue

KUWAIT CITY (IRNA) -- The Kuwaiti government has called on the international community to make every efforts to find a peaceful solution to Iranian nuclear standoff.

Kuwaiti permanent envoy to the United Nations Abdulla Ahmed Al-Murad made the remark while addressing a UN session Monday night, adding that peaceful settlement of Iran's nuclear dossier is a step towards solving the crisis in the Persian Gulf region.
He expressed satisfaction with the recent agreement between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and noted that it is an important step towards addressing concerns over the peaceful nature of the Iranian nuclear program.
The Kuwaiti official also expressed hope that the current negotiations between Iranian officials and the visiting IAEA delegation in Tehran would bear positive fruits.
He further slammed the Zionist regime's nuclear activities, underscoring that the regime opposes IAEA inspection of its nuclear arsenals and impedes the implementation of the Non-Proliferation Treaty.
