DAMASCUS (IRNA) -- Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Mualem stressed on Wednesday that nothing can separate Iran and Syria.
""All attempts to creating a rift between Iran and Syria are nothing but a mirage and we do not pay any attention to them,"" Mualem, asked about certain powers’ attempt to separate Syria and Iran, told a press conference.Mualem said relations between Tehran and Damascus have been founded on serving mutual interest and common stances for establishment of security and stability in the region.
He said the relations have nothing to do with acceptance or non-acceptance of others’ conditions.
""All know that the Tehran-Damascus ties are in a very high level and established since triumph of Iran’s Islamic Revolution.""
He added that Iran’s stand on Palestine, the prime issue of the Arab world, stresses the need for honesty and friendship.
