Iran sports chief underlines football privatization

TEHRAN – Iran’s Physical Education Organization (PEO) President Mohammad Aliabadi here Sunday underlined the necessity to privatize football clubs.
He made the statement in a meeting with the new members of Football Federation’s board of directors.“Football Federation and clubs need to gain financial independence in a bid to remove the heavy fiscal burden the government is bearing,” said the ranking official.
Aliabadi urged the federation’s directorate members to sign a trainer for the national side as soon as possible
