TEHRAN (Press TV) -- Seyyed Mehdi Panzvan captures three gold medals at the Namjoo International Weightlifting Competition in the 69 kilogram category.

Panzvan placed first among 13 weightlifters with a total of 310 kilograms. Another Iranian, Morteza Rezaeian, placed third and gained one silver and two bronze medals, IRNA reported on Wednesday.
Panzvan lifted 140 kilograms in snatch and 170 in clean and jerk, whereas the silver medalist, Afghan Bayramov picked up 130 in snatch and 165 in clean and jerk with a total of 293 kilograms.
